2009 Economic Educators of the Year Award December 11th, 2009 at 2:00 P.M, the NCCEE and its partners will announce the statewide finalist in the Economic Educator of the Year Awards. Winners will be announced during an Awards Reception held at the Office of the State Treasurer in Raleigh. Three North Carolina Educators will be honored for their excellence and use innovative lessons/units covering economics and personal finance. The Economic Educator of the Year awards are made possible by funding from the BB&T Charitable Foundation. In continuing with their community outreach, the foundation has committed its support for the 2009-2010 school year. Congratulations to the Finalists: Amity B. Kea - JH Rose High School Stephen H. Applications for the 2009-2010 Economic Educator of the Year are due by April 30, 2010, to download application click here. Any K-12 teacher whose coursework includes a significant lesson/unit covering economics, personal finance, business or entrepreneurship may apply. |
