By Dr. Matthew Martin Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Charlotte Branch Please join us to hear Dr. Martin’s views on the current state of the economy and outlook for the future. The presentation will include a professional assessment of the economy with a unique local perspective. Dr. Martin received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Delaware after completing his military service. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Dr. Martin worked at Moody’s Economy.com, where he covered both national and regional economic issues. He also worked for the Congressional Budget Office in Washington, DC, as an analyst and was a faculty member at Kent State University in Ohio where he taught courses in macroeconomics, money and banking, and economic history. As Senior Vice President and Regional Executive of the Charlotte Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, his responsibilities include branch leadership and outreach for the Fifth District. He has been active in the Bank’s economic education and financial literacy efforts. He currently serves on the board of directors of the North Carolina Council on Economic Education.
