Anyone desiring to inspect our non-profit application or determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service may do so by contacting our office to schedule an appointment. Our Board The Council is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of at least 12 but not more than 99 members. These Board members reflect our constituencies of business and education. The Board membership is statewide and reflects the diverse economic base of North Carolina. There is an Executive Committee that consists of a chairperson, vice chairperson, treasurer, secretary, and two or more other individuals elected from the board of directors. The executive director of the NCCEE is a non-voting member of the executive committee. Honorary Board members are elected from time to time from among those North Carolina leaders who have demonstrated a deep and long-lasting commitment to economic literacy in North Carolina and the nation.
There are two annual meetings of the Board of Directors, as well as two Executive Committee meetings. Special meetings may be called from time to time as the board deems necessary. | |
