| Greetings from the Powell Center for Economic Literacy. I hope the past school year has proven productive for all! Certainly the knowledge and resources gained in Washington, DC at the Council for Economic Education's 2009 Annual Conference assisted many of you in serving your local school districts and educators in making economics come alive for K-12 students (not to mention the daily local and world headlines!) Given the vital role you play in providing economic education resources and referrals to your constituents, I am contacting you to help us promote our upcoming biennial conference for Advanced Placement Economics teachers, which is co-sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. For those of you who have AP Economics offerings in your state or area, we would appreciate your "spreading the word" about our November conference. Some of you are "veterans" of this conference and you know first-hand its reputation and value. Recently, the conference received a "shout-out" on the GATE Discussion Board: http://www.councilforeconed.org/gate/members/board/index.php?action=vthread&forum=7&topic=207, for which we are very proud. Thank you, in advance, for your willingness to share this information with your AP teachers and HS administrators in your region. | | |
