The NCCEE is proud to partner with Fidelity Investments to provide middle school teachers the opportunity to assist their efforts in fulfilling the State Standards and Personal Financial Literacy guidelines. The SMG is an online, interactive stock market economy, they are also strengthening 32st century skills. | Calendar Poster Contest-Grades 2-5 Enhance the learning experience for students in grades 2-5 by participating in the annual Calendar Poster Contest. Teachers submit artwork illustrating one of 8 economic concepts. Winning illustrations are included in a sixteen month calendar and the winning students each receive a $50 prize. | Economics Challenge-High School Students
The National Economics Challenge is a state, regional and national competition for high school students designed to increase their understanding of and interest in economics and finance. Students compete in teams for a chance to win prizes and a trip to New York City to compete in the national finals.

| The County Marketing Contest is a contest designed to be an extension of the middle school standards for social studies (economics), technology and language arts. Students will create a PowerPoint presentation that convinces companies to relocate or expand to a given county. Students will compete for cash prizes against other middle school students across North Carolina. Hop on the Bus High School Business Plan Competition 
| Hop on the BUS! is an opportunity for North Carolina students (grades 9 - 12) to gain knowledge of entrepreneurship. The program will give students, working as individuals or teams, a “real life” experience within a formal or non-formal educational setting. The program allows our youth to discover what it would be like to generate an idea and build it into his/her own business. Additionally, one of the value added opportunities with this program is encouraging our youth to believe they can start new business ventures.
