Family Financial Fun Nights: Coming to Your School Soon!

NCCEE has been hosting fun, financial literacy nights for elementary and high school students and their families. Family Financial Fun Nights are after-school events that teach money management skills through hands on activities. Broadwell College of Business had a turnout of 157 attendants from two neighboring high schools. Students and family members had a great time with volunteer presenters who guided them through a series of games that encouraged conversation about personal finance. Families participated in the “Bean Game” a budgeting scenario that allots fifteen “beans” to spend on expenses for the month, then shared around the room what they spent the “beans” on, and why.

This Family Financial Fun Night was made possible in part by generous funding from State Farm and the Council for Economic Education.
